Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, Langsuan’s hippest landmark, pushes intuitive hospitality to the next level with an even greener stay that makes guests feel that ‘home away from home’ vibe with the new “Plant Pals” programme, now available at participating global Kimpton properties. In partnership with Brooklyn-based plant expert Christopher Griffin, aka Plant Kween, the non-binary author of You Grow, Gurl! and champion of inclusivity, holistic wellness, and the therapeutic power of plants. Kimpton Plant Pals is now available upon request at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok as part of its Kimpton Stay Human experiences

Simply adding a plant to your room (or even an office desk) can help make the surroundings just so much better. Studies have shown that plants can help reduce stress, improve mental health, sharpen productivity, and even help us feel better about our jobs. However, there is one downside to traveling: plants are not so mobile, and Kimpton Plant Pals programme is here to solve that issue!

The Plant Pals programme will offer six different types of plants that guests can choose to be delivered directly to their room. In addition to the two Plant Kween handpicked selections, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok also sourced plants locally to showcase Thailand’s signature tropical charms. The six plants available at the hotel include:

  • Fiddle-Leaf Fig (Handpicked by Plant Kween)

It helps purifying the air and give positive energy into the space as well as improve sleep. The fiddle-leaf fig symbolises abundance and good luck, attracting good fortune and wealth.

  • Chinese Evergreen (Handpicked by Plant Kween)
This plant not only adds a green corner to your room but it’s also believed to bring good luck and prosperity to its plant parents.
  • Zanzibar Gem (or ZZ Plant)

The ZZ Plant helps purifying the air and is commonly known in Thailand as the fortune tree, which believes in bringing luck and prosperity—their shiny leaves glint like sparkly gold coins.

  • Marble Queen
The Marble Queen helps purify the air while adding humidity. It is believed that this plant can remove stale or dark energy and bring luck and prosperity. This plant is also known in Thailand as the Money Plant.
  • Snake Plant
Probably the swankiest looking out of all, this popular indoor plant helps filtering indoor air and alleviating allergies. This calming snake plant believes in enhancing the good energy of a space and eliminating bitterness and jealousy.
  • Indian Rubber Tree
This majestic Indian Rubber Tree helps to purify and improve overall air indoors. The dark green plant represents wealth, good luck, and fortune.

Want to add that therapeutic power of the plant to your room? Here’s how it works: Just ask the front desk and a unique plant will be delivered to your room along with a name tag and a bundle of positive energy.
