In addition to being an educational institution, schools are also a place for children to cultivate life skills and this makes the library a valuable source of knowledge. NIVEA, the world’s leading skincare brand trusted by Thai people for over three decades, has partnered with Big C Supercenter Public Company Limited, a retail store in the BJC Group, for the second consecutive year to continue their support of the “Share the Care” library renovation for the Lifelong Learning Empowerment program. This initiative aims to provide educational development for Thai youths, so they have equal opportunities to access quality education and enable lifelong learning skills for their future.
Mr. Darong Thanomwong, Sales Director, NIVEA Thailand, said, “As part of our Care Beyond Skin mission, we aim to offer more than just high-quality skincare products. Our mission is to give everyone a better and more equal quality of life, especially children and youths. For over a decade, we have initiated various projects dedicated to enhancing education in Thailand. Two years ago, we expanded our efforts with the “Share the Care” library renovation for the Lifelong Learning Empowerment program, focusing on modernising and equipping libraries across the country with advanced learning tools. This year, we plan to extend our support to schools in remote areas at a total of 15 locations nationwide. We are thrilled to have the support of our longstanding partners like Big C, making it convenient for customers to join this meaningful project. It is a source of pride for NIVEA, Big C, and our customers to be able to help provide children with access to high-quality, modern learning resources for their lifelong learning development.”
Customers can participate in this noble cause by purchasing any NIVEA product at any Big C Supercenter and NIVEA will contribute 1 baht towards the project. For purchases made through Big C’s online platforms until November 1, 2023, NIVEA will donate 2 baht per purchase to Thailand Collaboration for Education (TCFE) by Yuvabadhana Foundation to renovate 15 libraries across the country.
This project aligns with NIVEA’s core mission to equally support and enhance the quality of life for children and youths by providing them with opportunities for a successful future. NIVEA firmly believe that libraries serve as a foundation for children and the youth to cultivate reading, learning, and lifelong skills.
In addition to enhancing and modernising libraries in remote areas to create better learning environments for children to listen, speak, read, and write using contemporary educational tools and technology, NIVEA has initiated training programs in psychology and modern teaching methods for teachers, equipping them with necessary knowledge and skills across various academic areas, including mathematics, science, and digital media. This approach empowers teachers to be able to transfer knowledge, nurture skills, and provide guidance to effectively plan the educational journey of students. NIVEA aims to ensure that participating schools can thrive independently as this is a sustainable way to develop quality education for Thai youths.
NIVEA is committed to making a positive impact beyond skincare and would like to invite customers to contribute to providing Thai children with a modern library. Simply buy NIVEA’s high-quality skincare products at any of the 154 Big C Supercenter stores nationwide or shop online at https://app.bigc.co.th/P5s8/56rkhvvp until November 1, 2023.
