It may be known as ‘Day of the Dead’, or Día de los Muertos festivities, but the celebrations will make you feel nothing short of alive and free-spirited. Come celebrate the iconic event with our very own Standard twist at our crown jewel, Ojo, where a joyful Mexican cultural celebration will unfold before your very eyes amid breathtaking views of Bangkok’s skyline.
On the 3rd November, our Ojo Terrace Bar will be transformed into a place of colorful celebrations, with authentic Mexican street food in collaboration with our friends at La Lupita, to special drinks with Machetazo Mezcal’s craftsmanship alongside a guest shift bartender Negar Iwana, from Foxtail Bar in Singapore.
The menu in collaboration with La Lupita will literally transport you to the streets of Mexico where chefs will be cooking on the open fire and plancha grill at the Ojo Terrace Bar flawlessly assembling everything fresh to order; from Taco de Birria Spicy Beef to Taco Gobernador Grill Shrimp and more that will make you “go loco”. La Lupita has earned a reputation as one of Bangkok’s top spots for hospitality and relaxed dining, offering an authentic taste of Mexico with bold and vibrant flavors infused into each taco, delivering an exceptional Taqueria experience.
Meanwhile, our guest shift bartender Negar Iwana will take on the role of our mezcal expert for the night. She will introduce four unique cocktails, each meticulously crafted to highlight the exceptional flavor and aromas of Machetazo Mezcal. Negar’s cocktails will skillfully blend the rich traditions of Mexico with her creative mixology skills, ensuring a memorable and one-of-a-kind journey of tastes.
Guests will also enjoy the Latin beats by DJ El Hijo del Maiz, and DJ Jon Sa Trinxa, immerse themselves in artful, colorful floral installations, and even get dolled up with complimentary themed makeup by M•A•C Cosmetics Thailand at Ojo. Surprise performances to be expected that will truly make the Day of the Dead a celebration to remember in Bangkok this year.
Celebrations will start at 8pm, and go on till late. Ticket price is at THB 899 net per person inclusive of 2 drinks, unlimited Mexican bites by La Lupita and other activities. Come dressed in celebration of the famed Mexican festival of Dia de los Muertos. We can’t wait to see you.
