Most recently, Chut – Chatchawarn Janthachotibutr, Leica Thailand Ambassador, joins hands with Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky under William Grant & Sons Company Limited, to reveal his ‘Single Best Quality’ as a maverick for “THE WHERE NEXT CLUB” campaign, that is held in Thailand for the third consecutive year. “The Adventurous Life” exhibition, held at popular Rimshot Bar in the heart of Sukhumvit 22 tells the story of Chut’s eventful life, with highlight on 8 important figures who made a profound impact on his life, portrayed through Chut’s very own photography lenses.

Driven by Glenfiddich’s core value of maverick spirits and limitless possibilities, THE WHERE NEXT CLUB” unites individuals from various industries to share their stories and find their own ‘Single Best Quality’ to fuel inspiration for what is Next in the best possible version. In this campaign, Chut – Chatchawarn Janthachotibutr defines his Single Best Quality as “Adventurous”, which reflects a perspective on life that began with a passion for photography in his youth. The term Adventurous’ can be divided into three phases of Chut’s life that allowed him to learn and experience many new things. All these new experiences are ultimately what molded Chut into the man he is today and set his path to pursue the endless “Next” in his own unique path.

Starting from a time of experimentation in his childhood under the theme PASSIONATE, Chut relied on his conviction and self-belief to turn his passion for photography into a stable career. Thus, he began to study to gain more knowledge and continuously develop his potential in photography.

Then came the period of searching and challenging oneself, under the MYSTERIOUS phase of Chut’s life, when there were many puzzling things in life that he wanted to discover. This phase is representative of the first steps Chut took to go beyond his comfort zone to spark new ideas, as well as the opportunity to study photography abroad. This adventurous path is what ultimately lands Chut his position as Leica Thailand’s Ambassador in 2016.

At present, Chut is currently in the CLARITY phase of his life, with a good understanding of his true needs. Whereby, he achieved this clarity through discovering the answer to the questions: What are your true needs? What is your own happiness and suffering? His answer came in the form of a new venture in Khao Lak, Phang Nga, under the name The Place Khaolak or “The Place to meet new friends. This surf community, founded by Chut and his partner is simplistic in its idea, yet it is profoundly meaningful because it unites people from different countries, professions and walks of life who share a love for the ocean and surfing. It is a place where people can escape from the hustle and bustle of city life to meet, talk, connect, share knowledge, preferences, and new experiences together.

“This exhibition is filled with emotions and gratitude I have towards these important figures in my life whether it’s friends, brothers, sisters, or even people I’ve had the opportunity to get to know. All of which have played a part in the journey that has led me to this point. I want to take the opportunity to thank both the good and bad things that happened in my life, for allowing me to reveal my Single Best Quality. Special thanks to Glenfiddich for playing an important role in pushing forward and creating a community that is open to challenges and new experiences, so that we all can search, improve upon, and discover the NEXT phases of our lives together.” Chut – Chatchawarn Janthachotibutr revealed.

In addition, to represent the three pivotal phases of his life, Chut also collaborated with Glenfiddich to create special drinks that convey the word “Adventurous”. The specially curated drinks exude an aura of adventure and journey that is symbolic of Chut’s adventurous life. Starting with “Passionate” that is conveyed through a special cocktail made with the Glenfiddich 15-year-old, which is outstanding in its uniqueness, giving an intense taste that symbolizes Chut’s strong passion for photography. This is followed swiftly by the “Mysterious” cocktail starring Glenfiddich 12-year-old. This cocktail may look simple on the outside, but the taste is complex, with a tantalizing smell of kumquat and peach, combined with the smell of burnt pandan leaves and topped with “Luk Chok”, a fruit from the Phang Nga province. Finishing off with a moment of “Clarity”, the last cocktail heroes the Glenfiddich 18-year-old, highlighting its unique intensity and depth. The flavor profile gives off a scent of chamomile, smokiness and a hint of citrus that provides the feeling of relaxation, which is symbolic of the present time where Chut is living his life in Khao Lak with simplicity and clarity.
