Today marks the official opening of Bangkok’s newest Italian eatery, Cento, to the public following a successful soft launch period. Cento will now host guests Tuesday through Saturday, from 17:30 to midnight, offering diners the opportunity to experience Cento’s unique approach to hospitality and bold, straight-to-the-point Italian cuisine and wines. From April 1st, Cento will also be open on Sundays.

Located at 120 Sala Daeng 1/1, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Cento is not just another Italian eatery – founder Manuel Palacio describes Cento as a ‘Hospitality House’ that just happens to serve Italian food, reflecting the unwavering dedication to an environment that evokes a sense of belonging, embracing the elegance of simplicity and placing a strong emphasis on genuine hospitality.

The menu will be updated regularly following the market and seasonality and comprises non-regional Italian fare featuring plain, high-quality ingredients cooked with love and care. Designed for sharing, menu highlights include artisanal bread like puffy bread with mortadella and crudo offerings such as hamachi with a house rub, lemon, yuzu, soy, and extra virgin oil. Guests can also indulge in classic Italian dishes such as vitello tonnato or beef carpaccio, including tenderloin, capers, shallots, and Parmigiano, or savour small plates like the chicken liver pate served with brioche and blackberry jam.

Pasta options range from Tuscan-inspired dishes such as pici with crab, egg and black truffle ravioli and Cento’s signature dish, Agnolotti, served with river prawns, clams and chilli. The selection from the grill, Cento’s heart, boasts singular dishes where humble ingredients are the hero of the show, featuring dishes such as squid with tomato relish, olives and chilli, and pork chop Milanese with pecorino romano, fennel, dill and balsamic. Cento boasts two large format signature dishes from the grill: charcoal grilled lobster rice and 1kg Bistecca Fiorentina.

Rather than a traditional wine menu, guests are invited to explore Cento’s dedicated wine room, which offers a carefully curated selection of 100 wines, predominantly showcasing Italy’s diverse regions. This personalised experience allows guests to browse and select bottles firsthand from shelves organised by four price points, starting from 2,500 THB or less and extending to special and rare finds. With wines exclusively available on the shelf, guests enjoy a dynamic and interactive experience, guided by Cento’s expert team, ensuring every visit offers the chance to discover new favourites as the selection evolves daily.

The bar is designed to be a focal point for reunions and conversation and is open until midnight every day of service.  A vibrant selection of exclusively Italian cocktails, including Negronis, Spritzes, Sours and Martinis, will be available.

Founder Manuel Palacio is confident Cento will become a beloved hospitality house destination and a welcoming second home for Bangkok food enthusiasts. With meticulously curated playlists enhancing the ambience and a thoughtfully designed space elevating Cento’s status as a beacon of genuine hospitality, guests are invited to indulge in an unforgettable dining experience.

Manuel Palacio, Founder of Cento, said: “As Cento flourishes into full operation after a highly successful soft launch, our greatest aspiration is to welcome each guest not just once, but to create an environment where they feel compelled to return, time and again.

“Our vision extends beyond providing exceptional cuisine; it encompasses fostering genuine connections and ensuring every visitor feels like a guest in their own home, receiving a personalised experience that leaves a lasting impression. We strive to transform casual diners into cherished regulars, embracing them as integral members of the Cento family. Whether our guests want to visit us for a drink, a small bite or a full decadent meal, our commitment to fostering enduring relationships sets Cento apart, making each visit a celebration of Italian hospitality and a cherished memory in the making.”
