Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, the Langsuan luxury and lifestyle landmark, celebrates World Chocolate Day with the “El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch: World Chocolate Day” on Sunday, 7 July 2024. This special edition of Stock.Room’s monthly celebration of vibrant Latin American flavours will be a chocolate extravaganza in partnership with Tempered, a local chocolate patisserie and the first cocoa roastery in Thailand, as well as a special guest shift from John Robert Villanueva, Head Bartender from F*nkytown.
Named after the technique used to achieve chocolate’s smooth, shiny finish, Tempered is a serious new contender on Bangkok’s cacao scene, spearheaded by Chanikan “Fern” Tanboonperm, Executive Chef and Co-Founder. Tempered is a Thai chocolatier built on the ethos of sustainability, from sourcing and harvesting to roasting and processing cocoa beans. Tempered dishes featured at the brunch include a list of exclusive creations including Chocolate Bon Bon filled with Patron Tequila, Chili Caramel and homemade Chocolate Ice Cream, Mayan-Style Boozy Chocolate Cocktail and a special Chocolate beverage.
Stock.Room’s Executive Chef Lamberto Valdez Lara and his team will also incorporate Tempered’s artisan chocolate in a newly created surprise dish for patrons to discover when they visit!
For this special chocolatey edition, there will also be a special guest shift from F*nkytown‘s Head Bartender, John Robert Villanueva. F*nkytown, the Sarnies Group’s first cocktail bar concept, has quickly risen to prominence on the Bangkok nightlife scene with its unique blend of innovation, sustainability and local flavours.
The culinary team will also serve up the Latin culinary excellence that is a tribute to Chef Lara’s South American roots. Diners can look forward to the El Sabor de Kimpton Mayan-Caribbean favourites, Japanese-Peruvian Nikkei cuisine and Mexican hallmarks. Also featured are Boliveria street foods, Brazilian highlights and the spread of the Argentine-Italian meat scene with fine beef cuts and charcuterie like chorizo Argentino, bresaola, Lyoner and Salchicha Parrillera.
The El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch is a full-sensory experience embracing sensational Latin energy. Diners are entertained by a four-piece live band and DJ music.
The El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch: World Chocolate Day takes place on Sunday, 7 July 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Stock.Room. Guests can choose from three packages: THB 2,500 per adult, including soft drinks; THB 3,500 per adult including alcoholic beverages; and THB1,250 per child under 12 years old.
