Attracting over 35 million customers and delivering millions in savings through unprecedented discounts of up to 80%, this event stands as the most successful sales campaign in Traveloka’s history.

The EPIC sale fueled a near twofold increase in traffic in key markets, including Thailand, solidifying Traveloka’s position as the ultimate one-stop shop for millions of travelers across Thailand and Asia-Pacific.

This remarkable achievement was powered by collaboration with over 10,000 participating partners, including leading brands such as Malaysia Airlines, Accor, Archipelago International, Hong Kong Disneyland, as well as tourism boards such as the Hong Kong Tourism Board, offering a wide range of options to cater to every type of traveler.

Customers unlocked even deeper discounts presented by Traveloka payment partners. Credit card usage saw the highest growth during the EPIC sale, with daily transactions growing fivefold and daily sales amounts increasing sixfold. These customers enjoyed up to 15% savings, with discounts reaching as much as ~USD 740 per transaction.  This exponential growth was made possible through our collaboration with leading banks, offering substantial rewards to our customers.

Renowned for its idyllic beaches and rich cultural experiences, Thailand stood out as a top choice and continues to captivate travelers across Southeast Asia. Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong are also ranked highly, attracting Thai visitors with their unique charms—Japan’s blend of Tokyo’s modernity and Kyoto’s tradition, South Korea’s vibrant cities and heritage, and Hong Kong’s bustling cityscape. Additionally, Singapore and Vietnam garnered attention for their distinctive mix of urban sophistication and natural beauty.

EPIC Sale 2024 revealed two dominant booking behaviors: a surge in last-minute bookings and a strong preference for advance planning. 82% of travelers booked their trips 3-4 days in advance, indicating a growing demand for spontaneous, short-term travel. Traveloka’s diverse offerings effectively cater to both spontaneous and organized travelers, ensuring broad appeal across the region.

During the EPIC Sale, Thai travelers enjoyed a wide range of discounted accommodations tailored to their needs. Leisure travelers appreciated spacious rooms for relaxation, business travelers sought functional spaces for work, and families chose larger suites with amenities designed for their comfort. By catering to these diverse preferences, we helped travelers find the perfect stay, enhancing their overall experience, and filling rooms during traditionally slower periods.
