In recent months, The St. Regis Bangkok unveiled IGNIV Bangkok, the hotel’s newest gastronomic destination and brainchild of Andreas Caminada, head chef of the internationally acclaimed 3-Michelin-starred restaurant Schloss Schauenstein in Switzerland. The St. Regis Bangkok also partnered with Clinique La Prairie to open the pioneering Swiss health clinic first aesthetics and medical spa outside of Switzerland on the 15th floor of the hotel.

Created in 1958, the Five-Star rating system is the only independent, global rating system of its kind in the world for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas. Hotels are evaluated by anonymous inspectors who check-in to for a minimum of two nights. Properties were inspected prior to the pandemic and when regional restrictions allowed for the safe return of guests.

In addition to the hotel’s prime location directly accessible to a BTS Skytrain station, Forbes inspectors also highlighted The St. Regis Bangkok’s personal butler service, outdoor infinity pool, and collection of fine restaurants and bars.

“These 2021 award winners are a testament to the resiliency of the hospitality industry,” said Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. “During an unprecedented time, these top properties adapted to numerous adversities all while maintaining high service levels and ensuring the health security of their guests and staff.”
