In the spirit of ‘Connecting Travel and Tourism Professionals all around the World’, Skal International members from across Australia caught up with fellow Skalleagues from the USA on Friday to share their pandemic experiences and what they’re each expecting in 2021 and 2022.Organised by Walter Nand, Past President of Skal International Sydney, with Karin Andersen, President of Skal International Miami, the zoom event allowed Skalleagues to share experiences about coping with COVID-19’s impact, highlighting many shared experiences despite differing local approaches to managing the pandemic. Despite the situation, everyone agreed that positive sentiment was returning with the rollout of vaccines.

“It was a great opportunity to reconnect with travel professionals from the other side of the world in a fun and lighthearted manner”, said Nand.

Anderson echoed the sentiment and stated that “it was good fun to chat with everyone today … well tomorrow, for you in Australia”.

The group was privileged to have Jim Dwyer, President Skal International USA lead the Skal Toast and acknowledge all Skalleagues worldwide.
