Head of In-Flight Services for AirAsia Thailand, On-Anong Methapipatkul said:, “The COVID-19 situation that began last year necessitated AirAsia to adapt its service offerings, in particular our in-flight food and beverage services. AirAsia Delivery was born as an innovative way for us to continue delivering AirAsia’s popular menu items directly to our loyal customers and fans, while allowing our Allstars to make some additional income as delivery riders.  I am very proud that AirAsia Delivery has been so popular and it keeps us connected to our guests even when we are not flying as much.

“Over the past year, we have been continually adding new and exciting products and services but the 3 most popular menu items stand out among the rest. Our Boba Tea beverages that include the Taiwanese Boba Tea, Thai Milk Tea and Pink Milk Tea proved to be the all-time favourites for our customers.  All three beverages were now top selling among our in-flight guests and have also become hot delivery items alongside the Cube Croissant, our top dessert item.”

At present, AirAsia Delivery operates from two branches in Don Mueang and Ratchathewi, both providing a menu of over 16 drinks and desserts.  In response to the increasing demand, the delivery coverage areas have been increased from a radius of 10km previously to 20km.

“We believe that every crisis comes with opportunities and AirAsia Delivery is proof of this thanks to the continuous support from our guests and customers.  It has provided an opportunity for our staff to adapt and learn new skills, and for us to be innovative by developing new products and services to continue servicing our guests and customers.  This is our promise and we thank everyone for their unwavering, continuous support towards AirAsia Delivery,” Ms. On-Anong remarked.
