Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS), powering travel for partners globally, announces a company-first deal with Lufthansa City Center International (LCCI) as one of its preferred global suppliers for lodging. International Lufthansa City Center agencies outside Germany will have the flexibility to work through EPS Rapid API or Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP). The agreement spans more than 85 countries worldwide, providing all international LCC agents access to high-quality content, exclusive optimized distribution rates and a world class booking experience.

The deal enables international LCC members to benefit from competitive room rates and a fast, flexible booking system. Agents that choose to access the service via EPS Rapid API, which is supported by Expedia’s technology partner Atriis, open up over 700,000 properties across 35 different property types in more than 35,000 destinations worldwide. Agents that opt for Expedia TAAP will gain access to 1.6 million properties globally including vacation rentals.

“We are proud to partner with Lufthansa City Center International and to serve its large network of international franchisees,” comments Alfonso Paredes, Senior Vice President at Expedia Partner Solutions. “The deal provides agents with the flexibility to access our inventory and services on their terms, as well as the ability to offer their customers a broader choice of lodgings at highly competitive rates.”

Martina Groenegres, Managing Director Lufthansa City Center International said, “We are delighted to announce Expedia Partner Solutions as one of our preferred global suppliers for lodging. Many of our international LCC travel agencies have specifically asked for this because of the huge breadth of supply they have. With greater choices of both pay now and pay at checkout accommodation and reliable API technology, through this partnership our agents can really elevate the choice and flexibility on offer to both business and leisure travelers.”

The recently released virtual agent technology available with Expedia TAAP, will also be available to international LCC agencies, helping the travelers they serve to easily resolve queries for themselves such as requests related to amenities like breakfast and parking for a particular hotel, or canceling a flight should plans change.
