Mid-Autumn Festival is all about the celebration of togetherness. Families and friends gather and dine under the full moon. They rejoice by eating mooncakes to celebrate the moment and look forward to another year. This year commemorate the occasion with limited release mooncakes from one Michelin-starred Yu Ting Yuan at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, packaged in an exquisitely designed collector’s box, featuring one-of-a-kind art work from the Hotel.

For 2022, Yu Ting Yuan Head Chef Qiu Xiaogui and the Four Seasons team created two exquisite flavours of mooncakes. For a popular return, a unique black truffle, lotus seed and salted egg yolk mooncake – each mooncake passionately crafted by hand, steeped in tradition but with a modern luxurious twist. And new for this year, Chef Qiu and team share their version of the beloved custard and salted egg yolk mooncakes. Bringing classic flavours with luxurious design, each mooncake features the Four Seasons tree.

“Every year growing up in China my family and I would celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival together,” says Xiaogui. “I remember sitting together as a family under the full moon, eating mooncakes and celebrating our time together. I wanted to create a mooncake that reminisced of those times, but with a touch of Four Seasons luxury.”

The beautifully designed box features recognizable artwork from the Hotel combined with the beloved tale of the beautiful Lady on the Moon, over the Chao Phraya River. The artwork was meticulously hand drawn by Thai illustrator Nattapon Pichairat and printed on premium paper, creating a luxurious box ideal for gifting.
