Manakorn University of Technology launches Manakorn University of Technology International College (MUTIC) to offer international programs for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in the two professional fields of Engineering Technology and Business Administration.
The main aim is to produce high-quality engineers, innovators, and graduates towards a new trend of labor demand in the job market, according to Thailand 4.0, and Industry 4.0 policies in both production and service sectors which are now moving forward into the competitive SEA market. As a result, a higher number of new generation children are interested in pursuing their international program studies in engineering and technology, as well as business administration. MUTIC is equipped with efficient administration and faculty recruitment, particularly those with expertise in the teaching skills of professional and international experiences in both the industrial and service sectors. Moreover, hands-on learning and creative thinking are the main focus, instead of rote memorization to enable learners to reflect on their knowledge and understanding of hard and soft skills in different levels of complex problem solving as successful businessmen and entrepreneurs.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Panavy Pookaiyaudom, Dean of Mahanakorn University of Technology, said that MUT has been a private university specializing in producing a great number of high-quality engineers for the industrial and service sectors for over 33 years. “Since 2020, the direction of the job market in industrial electronic or engineering sectors has begun to move into Southeast Asia or SEA market, including Thailand, in line with the policy to move towards Project EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor Development Project). So, there is a trend for more students in the new generation who wish to take the English Program in engineering. In the meantime, within the next 5-10 years of the 5G era, Thailand and all industrial sectors will be in need of engineers and business administration personnel who are proficient in international languages”, explained Prof. Panavy Pookaiyaudom
In 2021, MUT has thus launched international programs in engineering and technology, as well as business administration in a bid to produce high-quality engineers, innovators, and graduates with excellent soft skills and multi-language proficiency to support EEC needs and into the 4.0 industrial job market.
Presently, MUTIC offers a bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, international logistics and industrial management, management and digital entrepreneurship, communication engineering and electronics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and computer engineering, and artificial intelligence. Following the long-lasting relationships and collaborations between MUT and various leading universities abroad, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been established between MUTIC and famous universities, such as James Cook University in Singapore, The University of New South Wales in Australia, Oxford Brookes University, The University of Sheffield in the UK, including many famous universities in the People’s Republic of China.
In addition to the regular 4-year study of an international bachelor’s degree program at MUTIC, students can also choose to study the 2+2 program, which is a two-year study in Thailand and another two years abroad. Nonetheless, MUTIC will test the English proficiency of students before applying to the program. Meanwhile, a consulting service is provided online 24 hours every day by MUTIC teachers and experts to assist students or any interested persons with full support. Besides, parents are helped in saving time and money, as well as having fewer difficulties in the preparation of documents and procedures to study abroad. After having graduated, students will receive a degree certificate from the university abroad, along with a degree from MUT. Besides knowledge of the English language, students will also learn about international culture, personality, and appropriate manners in working with people from different nationalities and cultures during their study in the international program at MUTIC.

Nevertheless, for those with IELTS scores between 4.0 and 4.5, MUTIC offers an Intensive English Course to enhance the basic knowledge of the English language from a half year to one year in order to qualify students for admission into the faculty and department of their interest.
Apart from a bachelor’s degree program, MUTIC also offers a master’s degree program in Business Administration and the 1-year International Program in MBA, especially for working people who wish to continue their studies and increase their job opportunities and salaries upon graduation.
