You may be pretty familiar with the delights of tapas (especially if you’ve ever paid us a visit) but have you ever tried the Basque Country’s very own version of this bite-sized Spanish finger food?

Now available in a number of varieties at UNO MAS restaurant, pintxos could be described as ‘tapas on bread’ — although they’re much more than that. Served either hot or cold with an assortment of different meat, seafood and veg, these small treats are sure to make your taste buds happy and fill your belly!

The name pintxo comes from the Spanish verb “pinchar” meaning to poke or stab, which is exactly what the toothpick (keeping everything together) does.
