CRAFT, in collaboration with our long-time partner, Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), a not-for-profit organisation overseeing the marketing, the research and the development of Australia’s red meat and livestock industry, is joining in the “Aussie Pies – It’s Just Better” campaign to celebrate Australia with one of the country’s most prized culinary possessions.

Helming this exciting campaign is CRAFT’s talented Sous Chef, Chef Gun-Patinya Srithong, an experienced culinary professional, specialising in fusion cuisine with honed skills working in top kitchens throughout Thailand, including the Michelin-starred L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Mohegan Sun, and Wine Connection. Chef Gun can be found experimenting with unique ingredients and blending different cuisines at CRAFT, a perfect social hub to hang out and enjoy single-origin coffees, craft cocktails and delicious bites.

Pouring his culinary passion into the new renditions of the classic Aussie pies, the unique flavours of stewed beef in Massaman spices inspires Chef Gun’s Massaman Aussie Beef Pie, the slow-cooked beef flavoured with curry paste, fish sauce, peanuts, coconut, tamarind, makes for a rich, intensely punchy filling complimented by flaky, buttery pastry. On the other hand, his Khao Soi Aussie Lamb Pie is a revelation. The curried broth that flavours the lamb filling is wonderfully fragrant. The pie has a delicious spiciness that beautifully translates the comforting flavours of one of Thailand’s most popular dishes from the North into a very Aussie pie. The pies which are served with Chef Gun’s crunchy cassava chips that come with his signature spicy Thai pesto dip are priced at THB 249++ per pie.

Both Massaman Aussie Beef Pie and Khao Soi Aussie Lamb Pie are available daily at CRAFT from 26th January 2023 until 26th February 2023. As a bonus, the first ten customers who purchase a THB-1,000 worth of our Aussie pies will receive special gifts, courtesy of Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA).

CRAFT opens daily from 7:00 a.m. until midnight. For more information, please call 02 056 9999 or email craft.kimptonmaalai@ihg.com.
