AIME is the leading trade event for the meetings and event industry in the Asia Pacific region, providing a platform for international and local buyers to connect and do business. The event is owned by the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) and managed by Talk2 Media & Events.

Over 400 hosted buyers, 350 exhibitors, and 2,000 visitors from 25 countries are expected to attend AIME 2023. With 12,000 meetings pre-scheduled, the show floor promises to be a hive of activity. Attendees will enjoy a range of new event features, including the Accor, Hosted Buyers Lounge, a ‘Tech’ area, and a Wellness Café. The event will also showcase touches of Australia, including a giant kangaroo and a special anniversary lanyard featuring First Nations’ artwork.

AIME’s Knowledge Program is a launchpad for the global events industry to come together and immerse in learning. The program will feature talks from industry leaders and renowned professionals, including Australian tennis star, Jelena Dokic. The three-day trade show will culminate in an exciting Welcome Event at Marvel Stadium, where attendees will celebrate on the stadium’s oval, which has hosted the world’s largest sporting and music events.

The event commenced with an official press conference featuring The Hon. Steve Dimopoulos MP, Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events; Minister for Creative Industries, Julia Swanson, CEO, Melbourne Convention Bureau, Natalie O’Brien AM, CEO, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Phillipa Harrison, Managing Director, Tourism Australia.
