April 5, 2023 – To commemorate the Thai New Year of Songkran, the St. Regis Bangkok is hosting culinary experiences from 13-15 April 2023 that emphasize family, fun, and unity.
On April 13, guests can enjoy a culinary journey across Thailand with a 4-course Signature Songkran set menu for two featuring traditional Thai flavors. Explore the charms of each culinary region of Thailand, starting from the north and traveling to the south as the final destination for the desserts. They have the option to personalize their lunch or dinner celebration by selecting their preferred starter, soup, main dish, and dessert.
Flavorful starters representing the northern culinary region of Thailand include a choice between Moo Yang Bai Cha Poo (grilled pork wrapped in betel leaves) and Nam Prik Num (Northern Thai Green Chili Dip) served with northern herb sausage and fresh vegetables.
The subsequent course on the menu invites diners to savor a variety of aromatic herbs, vegetables, and spices, blended together in a choice of hot and sour soup that originates from the northeastern region of Thailand, or Esan. This includes two options: Soup with Pork Ribs and Assorted Mushroom Soup.
Guests have the option to choose between a variety of Central Thai main courses, including the popular Green Curry with Clown Featherback Fishball and Coconut Shoots; or Stir-Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts. Both of these dishes come with a side of fragrant jasmine rice. For those who prefer a noodle dish, the Pad Thai Lobster is also available.
To conclude the meal on a delightful note, guests can indulge in southern-style desserts infused with coconut, such as Khanom Ko (Coconut Dumplings in Sweet Coconut Milk) or Thai Castella Cake paired with Coconut Ice Cream.
On the evenings of the 14th and 15th of April, The St. Regis Bangkok invites guests to gather over a Songkran Epic buffet dinner, perfect for groups revelers to come together in celebration of the holiday. This festive all-you-can-eat experience offers an extensive selection of dishes to choose from, including baked Atlantic sea scallops with triple cheeses, pan-seared scallop fettuccine in white wine sauce, grilled river prawns, fresh seafood, Spanish Iberico ham cured for 24 months, premium sushi and sashimi.
The Signature Songkran Set Menu is available for lunch from 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM and dinner from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM on Thursday, 13th April 2023 at THB 2,500++ per couple.
The Songkran Epic Dinner Buffet is available from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM on Friday, 14th April 2023 and Saturday, 15th April 2023 at THB 2,500++ per person.
