Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced the return of its ‘Kilo of Kindness’ campaign – inviting guests to donate at least one kilo of food, clothing or educational supplies to disadvantaged communities around the world. More than 45 Mövenpick hotels across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East are supporting the campaign, which runs throughout
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced the return of its ‘Kilo of Kindness’ campaign – inviting guests to donate at least one kilo of food, clothing or educational supplies to disadvantaged communities around the world. More than 45 Mövenpick hotels across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East are supporting the campaign, which runs throughout the month of September. Guests and visitors are invited to drop off at least one kilo of supplies at any participating hotel lobby, which will then be distributed locally by the charities each hotel has partnered with.
In Thailand, six Mövenpick hotels and resorts, including Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort Bangkok, Mövenpick Residences Ekkamai Bangkok, Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok, Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai, Mövenpick Asara Resort & Spa Hua Hin, and Mövenpick Resort Bangtao Beach Phuket, are participating in this meaningful campaign. The collected items, such as clothing, personal hygiene products, books, stationery, toys, and dry food, will be shared with local communities in need, with a focus on underprivileged children and women.
The local charities that the hotels have partnered with include, Kru Bannok project in Chiang Mai, which aims to support youth and teachers in under-served schools across rural Thailand; Baan Nok Kamin Foundation, a home to orphans, the elderly and those suffering from drug addictions; Bandek Ramindra School, a home to the blind with multiple disabilities; Women Correctional Institution in Nakhon Ratchasima; Baan-pa-mark Border Patrol Police School in Prachuap Khiri Khan; and Phuket Panyanukul School which caters to those with intellectual disabilities and hearing difficulties.

Mövenpick is requesting donations of all kinds, with high-priority on items including books, notebooks and stationery; canned foods such as tuna, soup, fruit, vegetables and concentrated milk; dry foods like rice, beans, oats, cereals, powdered milk, baby formula, tea and coffee; and clothing and shoes for adults and children.
